Refund & Return Policy

At The Book, every order is carefully inspected and securely packed before dispatch. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may request a return in accordance with the following policy.

Right of Withdrawal

You have 14 days from the date of delivery to request a return without providing a reason, in accordance with applicable European consumer legislation.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, please contact us before returning any item.

Return Conditions

To be eligible for a refund:

  • The item must be returned within 14 days of notifying us.

  • The book must be in its original condition, showing no signs of use or damage.

  • Whenever possible, the item should be returned in its original protective packaging.

  • The return must include proof of purchase or the order number.

Items that have been damaged after delivery, used, or returned without adequate protection may not be eligible for a full refund.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

Please inspect your order upon delivery.

If you receive a damaged, defective or incorrect item, contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include:

  • Your order number.

  • Photographs of the item.

  • Photographs of the shipping box and packaging.

If the parcel shows visible damage upon delivery, we recommend noting this on the courier's delivery confirmation whenever possible.

Refunds

Once the returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

If approved, your refund will be issued using the original payment method within a few business days.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is the result of our error or the item arrived damaged or defective.

Return Shipping Costs

Unless the return is due to an incorrect, defective or damaged item, the cost of returning the goods is the responsibility of the customer.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as we cannot be responsible for returns lost during transit.
